Notes from the HM Call:
- The Remote Researcher IV position is to cover a maternity leave, with the contract expected to last until the end of March.
- The candidate going on maternity leave will be out from November 5th until the end of March.
- The role is for a global team, with a preference for candidates based on the East Coast.
- The interview process includes an initial interview with Gemma, followed by team interviews for 2-3 shortlisted candidates.
- Candidates are required to have 7-10 years of experience in research.
- This is an individual contributor role with no leadership duties involved.
- Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods is a must for this position.
- The role focuses on leading consumer insights, with no emphasis on analytics.
- Experience with agile research tools is preferred for this role.
- The primary focus is Client's Fashion, specifically in luxury categories such as handbags, watches, sneakers, and jewelry.
- The researcher will be responsible for conducting ad-hoc research rather than ongoing tracking studies.
- The candidate will use mixed research methods to address key business questions.
- Part of the role includes briefing internal stakeholders on the best research methodologies to use.
- Frequent collaboration with third-party research vendors will be required.
- The researcher must be able to deliver clear, presentable insights with excellent communication skills.
- A strong passion for fashion is highly desirable for this role.
- Experience working in global markets, such as Germany and the UK, is considered a bonus.
- A background in the retail or tech industry is preferred for this position.
- Strong presentation skills are crucial for success in this role.
- No travel is required, though there may be rare instances of travel during the contract period.
- The researcher will work closely with Gemma, her manager, and the fashion business unit.
- Gemma, who reports to the VP of Insights, will provide supervision and coaching.
- Additional guidance and support will be available from other members of the consumer insights team.
Global Consumer Insights Manager Fashion
Client's is looking for an experienced consumer insights professional with strong consultation background that will help generate insights and drive actions to directly impact Client's s Fashion business globally. If you are passionate about championing the voice of the consumer to the forefront of decision making and have a passion for fashion, this is your dream job. This role reports to the Global Consumer Insights Director, Global Markets and Regulatory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to create strong research briefs for internal and external research partners that sharply articulates the business question and research needs.
- Expertise in designing, planning, and conducting qualitative and quantitative research and deep knowledge of when to use what methodology to arrive to the most actionable insights.
- Cull and analyze data from interviews, focus groups or other qualitative or quantitative research.
- Build compelling insights from completed research and analysis. Author executive-level reports and make informed recommendations to key partners and influencers that lead to action.
- Build strong relationships with a diverse set of cross-functional business partners to understand their challenges and priorities, define research roadmap, and drive actions through insight delivery.
- Be a business leader who brings relevant insights to guide decision-making. Bring a point of view, provide clarity and put the customer voice in context, connecting the dots and inspiring action.
This position will require:
- Deep curiosity for understanding of Client's s business priorities and how they translate into research needs to guide decision making.
- Expertise in the latest research design techniques.
- Inquisitive translation of business questions into design of research.
- Strong analytical and strategic competence. Ability to distill practical insights from consumer data to deliver clear action-driving recommendations for Client's s fashion business teams in the US, DE and UK: cannot stop at the what but need to be able to clearly articulate the so what from research.
- Strong verbal communication skills and experience with senior level client presentations and meetings.
- Collaborative attitude that allows candidate to work across a global organization to build a plan, get alignment, and execute it.
- Ability to operate independently.
