Commitment: This is a full-time, 6-week contract position staffed via HireArt. It is remote and available to U.S.-based candidates with the exception of California. Preference will be given to candidates able to work CST hours.

Job description
client is helping a global leader in AI development find Audio Engineers to join its team editing short conversations.
As an Audio Engineer, you will:
- Edit two individual clips of people talking into one cohesive conversation around 2 min total length.
- Remove any excess room tone, room echo, clicks, plosives, etc., without adding digital artifacting into the audio.
- Ensure certain silence gaps between speakers without overlapping dialogue.
- Adjust dialogue to hit the volume specification.
- Upload files and keep track of them on a spreadsheet.
Requirements
- Fluency in English
- 3+ years of experience editing dialogue for post-production
- Strong proficiency with audio editing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Audition, Reaper, etc.)
- Access to audio editing software and noise reduction plugins (e.g., iZotope RX)
- Ability to identify and deal with issues in dialogue such as clicks, plosives, and sibilance without degrading original audio
- Understanding of different volume measuring specifications and ability to manipulate audio to reach those specs
- Ability to dedicate 40 hours a week to this project
- Familiarity with Google Sheets, Forms, and Docs
- Willingness to receive feedback and iterate appropriately
Nice-to-Haves:
- Fluency in Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, French, Arabic, German, or Turkish (the conversations you will be editing come from all of these languages!)
- Access to multiple types of noise reduction plugins
- Give general background overview and related experience.
- Can you walk me through your process for evaluating an audio recording for quality issues? How do you identify and address issues like plosives, sibilance, and background noise?
- Tell me about a time you worked on a project that required extensive dialogue audio editing. What tools did you use, and how did you ensure high-quality output?
- Can you describe a situation where you helped improve an audio processing workflow or pipeline? What changes did you implement, and what was the impact?
- The pay range for this position is $35/hr, does that work for you?
- Are you currently authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship? If not, will you require sponsorship now or in the future?
