Job Overview:
The Director, Technical Product Management is responsible for building a best-in-class technical product management team that focuses on all the technical aspects of a product, ensuring they are being tracked, inspected, and managed
The Director will lead the team to drive visions that advance supply chain, inventory utilization and expense savings capabilities across Macy's Inc; working closely with business stakeholders to build business use cases, understand and assess opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to develop iterative product roadmaps and drive execution and delivery.
Essential Functions
• Create and manage data & analytics driven product visions that define the supply chain portfolio for Macy's Inc.
• Gather business and technical requirements, drive prioritization and alignment with stakeholders and engineering on roadmaps and resources planning
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to establish a strategy to execute against the product vision while supporting healthy technology platforms
• Build and lead a best-in-class technical product team responsible for discovery, definition, prioritization, and execution of roadmaps
• Balance the breadth and depth of the roadmaps and short-term vs
long-term strategy across supply chain applications and platform services
• Identify new business opportunities and develop solutions that optimize impact, cost, resourcing, timeline, likelihood of success, and risk mitigation
• Establish end-to-end functional and data maps with a focus on highlighting gaps, inconsistencies, and business impacts
• Manage teams to actively market iterative supply chain roadmaps & strategic targets through monthly roundtables and quarterly business reviews

• Lead the alignment of best-in-class strategies for the total enterprise including coordination with senior leadership
• Balance leading a team and engaging directly with the work needed to accomplish prioritized use cases with approved technical frameworks
• Coach direct reports as they build strategies and roadmaps
• Create and foster career development and growth paths for team members in alignment with company and personal objectives
• Assist direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure that the crucial business initiatives are delivered
• Provide guidance on recruitment and career pathing for product management resources
• Balance team resourcing and talent management
• Demonstrate Macy's leadership commitments of promoting diversity and inclusion, encouraging growth, creating connection, and driving performance
Key Performance Indicators:
• Integration, development, and deployment of supply chain products and services.
• Additional metrics dependent upon prioritized use cases supported (e.g., inventory placement, delivery expense, total cost of ownership, etc.)

Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college, university or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in product/technical product management
• Ability to effectively build vision, strategy, roadmap, and drive execution
• Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels
• Must be highly autonomous and comfortable working in an ambiguous, continuously changing environment
• Able to respond and adapt to the needs of a highly matrixed organization
• Experience working in an Agile environment including defining and documenting product capabilities, epics, user stories, technical patterns, frameworks, and user experience a plus
• Proven track record in delivering end-to-end products and services to drive business adoption and advance enterprise capabilities; application in retail supply chain is a plus
• Customer-centric and experienced with successful cross-functional collaboration
