UX Researcher
Summary
We're seeking a passionate and experienced education researcher to play a vital research evaluation role during our Trusted Tester program with US K12 schools beginning January 2025. You will bridge the gap between our product team and educational institutions, ensuring our products are rigorously tested, user-friendly, and aligned with real-world classroom needs. Your insights will be instrumental in shaping the future of our product and its positive impact on student learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive evaluation plan for product testing within schools (with input from Edu UXR lead and product team).
- Design qualitative and quantitative research instruments to gather data on product effectiveness, user experience, and other success outcomes.
- May also include visiting classrooms to conduct observations and interviews with teachers and school decision makers.
- Analyze and interpret findings from testing, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the product team.
- Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing testing outcomes and suggesting areas for product improvement or enhancement.
Qualifications
Location: Mountain view/San Jose, CA or Washington, DC
Education
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Research, or a related field
- PhD in Education or a related field a plus
Experience
- Proven experience in educational research or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience working with schools or educational organizations
- Strong understanding of educational technology and its applications in the classroom
Skills
- Excellent research, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Passion for education and improving student learning outcomes
