Job Title: Engineering Program Manager
Work Location: San Jose, California ( Strictly Onsite at least 3 days a week and 2 days can be remote)
Max Hourly Bill Rate: $86.53
Essential Job Responsibilities Our Team works with teams from Engineering, Supply Chain, Compliance and Support in planning, execution and delivery of optical Hardware development programs. We are seeking a hardworking, passionate Program Manager to join our Program Management Team, to manage industry leading Optical Hardware Development programs within the Service Provider Group. The primary responsibilities of the role are: o Manage moderate complex development programs o Prepare program plans and schedules, working closely with Teams from Engineering, Supply chain and support functions o Identify risks and devise mitigation plans to avoid or minimize impact and deliver products per commitments (Schedule, Quality, Budget) Lead and complete large-scale, client-driven projects. Communicate with clients and customers to determine their needs or requirements. Develop, design, and implement Description o Accurate program budget planning and tracking, pro-active management of budget and spending, making appropriate decisions to meet budget goals o Manage prototype activities, including identification of key components, planning of build schedules and management of proto allocations o Lead program team and ensure all cross-functional members are performing as required o Conduct program reviews and provide/present accurate program status and progress reports to Program Teams and Senior Management o Ensure that program follows Cisco/ISO/TL9000 processes Other PM Core Competencies and Responsibilities o Interface/Communication shares information and communicate clearly to team members o Influence/Impact promote cooperation between team members o Teamwork - Understand team dynamics and collaborate as a cross-functional team member. Involve others, where appropriate, in shaping plans and decisions that affect them. o Problem Solving identify problems and resolve or escalate appropriately o Planning/Reacting - Develop realistic action plans, steps, project timetables. Anticipate problems and develop contingency plans o Supervision receive general instructions and follow standard practices and policies.
