Job Description:
The Product Manager for Merchandising and Items is responsible for overseeing the development, management, and optimization of a company's product assortment, ensuring that it aligns with the overall business strategy and meets the needs of the target market. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, and implementing strategies to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy for the merchandising and items category.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to curate a product assortment that meets customer demand and aligns with brand positioning.
- Work closely with the product development team to bring new items to market, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure a coordinated effort in launching and promoting products.
- Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators to evaluate the success of products and make data-driven decisions.
- Communicate product strategies, updates, and performance to internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, with a focus on merchandising and items.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with market trends, consumer behavior, and retail dynamics.
- Experience with product lifecycle management and assortment planning.
- Proficiency in using data analytics tools and software.
