BayOne is seeking a highly organized and results-oriented UX Program Manager to join our BayOne team and serve the team. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for our vendors, responsible for managing complex, cross-functional UX projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. When necessary, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, UX designers, researchers, and other cross-functional teams to drive impactful user experiences, with a strong focus on supporting and guiding vendor teams to success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of UX projects, from initiation to delivery, including defining project scope, developing detailed project plans, tracking progress, and managing resources.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, including internal BayOne team members and stakeholders.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure projects are delivered within allocated resources.
- Track and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of UX program management processes and best practices.
- Understand and respond to client needs and requests, building strong, positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Articulate the value of UX program management to stakeholders and identify opportunities for growth within client engagements.
Core Competencies & Qualifications:
- Solid Program Management Experience: 3+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects, ideally within UX, product development, or technology teams. Proven ability to develop project plans, track progress, and drive tasks to completion.
- Client-Oriented Approach & Sales Support: Strong focus on understanding and responding to client needs and requests. Proven ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external teams, including stakeholders and vendor partners, and to support sales efforts through clear communication of project value.
- Understanding of UX Processes: Familiarity with the user-centered design process, basic UX research methodologies, and design tools. Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, researchers, and content strategists.
- Effective Communication & Collaboration: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Ability to facilitate meetings, share project updates, and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proactive Issue Management: Ability to identify potential project challenges, escalate appropriately, and contribute to problem-solving efforts in partnership with teams.
- Value-Add: Team Leadership Experience: Ideally, experience in informally leading project teams or formally managing direct reports in previous roles. This demonstrates an ability to motivate, guide, and empower team members (including vendors) to achieve project goals.
- Adaptability & Integration: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and integrating into culture and workflows. Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Commitment to Inclusive Practices: Actively values diverse perspectives and contributes to creating a collaborative and inclusive team environment for all stakeholders.
- Sales Acumen & Client Growth: Ability to identify opportunities for growth within client engagements and understand the principles of client relationship management. Experience in articulating the value of UX program management to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with other large technology companies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies.
