Requirements:
Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing log analysis, application performance management (APM), and real user monitoring (RUM)
Demonstrable preference for approaching work via automation as a first choice
Experience providing hands-on monitoring as well as authoring monitoring and alerting using multiple toolsets
Experience writing standard operating procedures and rigorous adherence to same
Demonstrable experience with production operations issue management and response
Collaborate with internal support and engineering teams and 3rd party vendors on problems and solutions
Strong organizational skillset and ability to track multiple issues to resolution
Ability to lead a technical team of peers toward issue resolution
Experience utilizing issue/workflow ticket tracking systems
History of acting as a subject matter expert and training peers and stakeholders
Qualification:
B.S
degree in CS, systems administration or
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Go, etc)
5+ years of systems management experience in a professional production setting
Exceptional skill at Linux bash command line
Deployment and release management experience
Exceptional skill configuring, running, monitoring, and tuning Java applications running in an Apache/NGINX with Tomcat configuration, JBOSS
Good skill with querying SQL and one or more noSQL databases
Self-motivated and collaborative
Good communication skills
Track record of success writing English for a business audience
Exemplary practice of documenting findings, providing evidence
Nice to have:
Containers and Kubernetes
E-commerce industry experience is a plus
