Senior Manager - Product Management

Bayone Solutions Inc San Francisco, CA (Onsite) Full-Time
The Senior Manager, Product Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Leads the development of features and functionality for a key strategic program initiative, including the identification of business opportunities, requirements definition, project implementation and evaluation
  • Combines a strong understanding of customer needs with an equally deep understanding of business goals to champion solutions that deliver value for macys.com.
  • Independently identifies new opportunities and develops business case/ROI for projects in particularly ambiguous, complex, and emerging domains
  • Gathering input from a variety of internal stakeholders, and external resources
  • Conducting industry analysis (identifying market trends)
  • Analyzing existing Macy's data, and conducting user research/testing
  • Evaluating technologies (internal capabilities, and vendor offerings)
  • Socializes opportunity assessments, driving to alignment among the highest level of leadership in the organization
  • Responsible for the requirements, approach, and vision for vendor facing features as well as feature definitions, detailed requirements, business process changes, internal communications, and implementation plans
  • Autonomously leads and motivates multiple cross-functional teams throughout the entire life cycle of product development, including deployment and post-deployment
  • Participates in Agile Project Inception, Iteration meetings, writes stories/acceptance criteria, story signoff, launch readiness, post-launch triage/burn-in
  • Coaches other product managers to write user stories as part of an Agile project framework
  • Independently resolves specific challenges related to how a feature/tool will work for Macy's customer or business user and make trade-offs of scope, time & budget when issues arise during development
  • Accountable for the financial impact and customer experience of the products produced, using analysis to measure the results of feature deployments to quantify the business benefit/impact, and identify further business opportunities or recommendations of product evolution
  • If necessary, coordinates with outside vendors and partners to ensure their work is delivered on time and on scope
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • BA/BS required
  • 6+ years product management experience
  • Ability to balance Seller needs with internal business goals and prioritize where necessary
  • Experience with the Agile development process preferred
  • Has a proven successful track record; recognized as an expert across the division, who has excellent judgment and whose projects and team have contributed significantly to the success of the division
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with all levels of business leaders; ability to influence key business leaders in the organization, defining and presenting compelling product vision
  • Exceptional negotiation skills across a myriad of audiences; can successfully advocate both business-facing and IT technology solutions among peers and to executive leadership
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, at various stages of their development
  • Ability to translate strategic goals to into product features
  • Experience with 3rd party software integrations.
  • Intellectually curious with strong analytical skills, including demonstrated ability in performing complex data analysis and drawing actionable insights, and building strategies against the analysis
  • Ability to execute independent research projects, and generate practical results and recommendations
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Thorough understanding of the retail business

  • A good balance of analytical and creative thinking
