The EDI Analyst under Supply chain & logistics will play a key role in managing the electronic data interchange (EDI) processes that are essential to our supplier & carrier onboarding efforts
This role requires a strong understanding of SAP, middleware platforms like Dell Boomi, MuleSoft and webMethods & the ability to ensure smooth, efficient, error-free operations.
This is what you ll do:
- Work towards onboarding of new suppliers & carriers to begin trading via EDI and get the communications setup completed with our IT and\or communications partner.
- Work cross-functionally within Supply Chain team (Purchasing, Logistics, Quality and Program Management) and external teams (Production Control, Warehousing, Finance) to ensure that the EDI mapping is done correctly and that all the business scenarios are captured during the map development.
- Leverage onboarding automation and perform testing and validation with suppliers and carriers to bring them to Rivian EDI framework supporting critical business processes.
- Work on the priorities set by the EDI project manager for supplier and carrier onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier & Carrier Onboarding:
o Lead the onboarding process for new suppliers & carriers, ensuring seamless integration into our EDI systems.
o Collaborate with internal IT teams, supply chain, and external partners to set up & test EDI communications.
o Manage EDI testing cycles, including end-to-end testing with trading partners.
o Monitor post golive EDI transactions & workflows to ensure data accuracy and timely processing.
Collaboration & Communication:
o Work cross-functionally with departments such as Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, and IT to ensure that EDI processes meet business requirements.
o Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on EDI onboarding related inquiries.
o Provide training & support to end-users and partners on EDI processes and tools.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in EDI, with a focus on supply chain processes such as supplier & carrier onboarding.
Hands-on experience with EDI standards like ANSI X12, EDIFACT & transaction sets such as Purchase Orders, Advanced Shipping Notices, Invoices, etc.
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, particularly in modules related to procurement, logistics and finance.
Experience preferred with any middleware platforms such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft and webMethods.
Hands-on experience with most or all the following transactions such as Discrete or Spot PO cycle (Create, Ack & Change), Planning Schedule, Shipping Schedule, ASN, Invoice, Load Tender, Shipment Status, Freight Bill, etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams & external partners.
