Job description:
As a Lead QE Engineer, you will be responsible for leading quality engineering process and delivery of high-quality software on an aggressive timeline. You will create, review, and execute the test strategy.
In addition, you will:
- Work closely various teams across the organization to understand the product requirements, review project assets and documentation and provide feedback for automation improvements.
- Accurately assess level of effort to implement automation improvements and help the team to deliver a project on time.
- Ensure delivery against Quality Engineering department goals and objectives, meeting commitments.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test strategies/plans/reports.
- Automate testing of web apps (UI and API), mobile apps (iOS/Android) and POS (Point of sale) applications.
- Estimate and prioritize work based on ROI and efficient utilization of resources.
- Provide clear and detailed status, assess and mitigate risks to ensure timely delivery with excellent quality.
- Provide recommendations on new tools and innovations designed to increase the performance and efficiency of the Quality Engineering department.
We're excited about you if you have:
- 10+ years of experience in software testing, including a minimum of 3 years in Lead role or management position.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, creating test automation frameworks from the ground and scaling them.
- Experience with popular automation tools, libraries and frameworks, such as Selenium Web driver, Rest Assured, JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber, Maven, Allure, Report Portal, Appium, Ready API, Squish, UFT.
- Strong Java development skills.
- Deep knowledge of design patterns, best code practices and automation industry trends, as well as Continuous Integration concepts and tools.
- Experience in Retail Domain (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with cloud service platforms is a plus.
- Experience with cross-application end-to-end testing (preferred).
