Equipment Engineer

Bayone Solutions Inc Palo Alto, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

Responsible for designing, maintaining, and repairing power supplies and modulators used in testing of high-power Klystrons, transmitters, radars, etc.

These tasks involve ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and safety, along with troubleshooting and regular maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Design, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, with a special emphasis on electrical proficiency for analyzing and resolving issues in analog circuits.

Responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of test systems for Klystrons which are utilized in applications like particle accelerators and radar systems.

Works with manufacturing during product runs, to ensure an efficient equipment operation.

Analyzes the equipment operation to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and specifies tests to be performed by support personnel.

Develops and improves engineering processes and work instructions for system reliability, efficiency, safety, troubleshooting and regular maintenance.

Performs difficult electronic, mechanical, and technical assignments such as constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, electro-mechanical devices, and component and systems, works from schematics, engineering drawings, written or verbal instructions.

Minimum requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering , or technical expertise.

2. Deep understanding of electrical principles and safety and industry standards, especially for high voltage systems .

3. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.

4. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Power Supply and Modulator Equipment repair/design.

5. Able to manage programs, projects, and products independently with direct supervision.

6. Hands-on experience with a basic understanding of engineering principles, RF/microwave concepts, vacuum science/products, electronic theory, manufacturing science, etc.

7. Must have a passion for hands-on work and problem solving.

8. Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

9. Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and organizational skills.

10. Excellent written and verbal communication.

11. Ability to work on a team and be a team player.

12. Strong work ethics and initiative .
