Role description : Part of the Localization team which translates the UI, Desktop, native Mobile apps. Check the grammar and spellings
Needs to be the LQA lead, reviewing the screenshots and test if everything works fine.
LQA lead needs to review, Multi-tasking, good communicator.
Works with Jira and work with the outlook and Github. Should be a senior folk. Team has few LQA leads located in a different part of the country. Managed resources in the past, checking on the tasks and if there is something which is blocked.
LQA lead will try to automate the teams. Will automate the frameworks, Appium, Selenium. Don t need the developers or coders, but needs to have a technical background. Very less Manual testing might be involved.
Product manager in the team is over 20yrs experienced. Product manager does user Spring planning. This person will be covering for the Product Manager. Other LQA leads in the team are having 5+ yrs of experience. Team has AWFs and they are looking to have someone in the San Jose location.
Flexible work timings- 9- 5pm PST.
Must have skills : QA experience in the Localization space, Jira, should have good communications skills. Seniority in QA and managing a team. Selenium or Appium.
Yrs of experience : 7 yrs of experience to begin with, 2 yrs of experience in managing a team. Should be able to their own job along with leading the team.
Education : Minimum of Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Interview : 1 phone screen with 1 lead. 2 nd round: deep dive in management, QA experience.
Industry: experience with any other industry will be fine.

Job Title: Senior Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) Lead (Contract)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior LQA Lead to join our Localization team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading multiple localization quality assurance projects, ensuring the highest quality of localized content for our diverse customer base. This role requires a blend of technical and interpersonal skills, a passion for quality, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Mentor and coach LQA Leads, fostering their professional growth and development in quality assurance practices.

Lead and run multiple LQA projects, prioritizing tasks and managing interdependencies.

Plan and be responsible for the execution of LQA projects, from small to large-scale initiatives. Provide oversight of active team projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and automation specialists, to define testing requirements and execute test plans.

Work closely with external test vendors to communicate requirements and assess performance.

Provide regular updates to management, highlighting any issues or risks.

Analyze metrics to identify areas needing additional testing and create detailed quality reports.

Use JIRA for tracking LQA activities and progress.

Triage and follow up on bugs, ensuring resolution.

Participate in cross-domain meetings and initiatives as a representative of the LQA or L10n team.

Suggest and implement improvements to LQA processes and tools.

Chip in to sprint planning and product backlog maintenance, occasionally assuming scrum master responsibilities.

Develop and maintain documentation for features and tasks.

Train and support other LQA Leads as necessary.

Job Requirements:

Proven ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple priorities.

Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-company teams.

A proactive approach to independent problem-solving and project management.

Experience with multilingual projects and familiarity with localization standards.

Knowledge of software development cycles and scheduling flexibility for international collaboration.

Experience with CAT tools (XTM preferred) and multilingual proficiency is advantageous.

Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment, supporting internal and external customers.

Experience working on multi-language projects in an Agile environment.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in QE/QA/LQA roles.

Proficiency in testing web and mobile applications.

Experience with Selenium, JavaScript, Python, and scripting automation tasks.

Proficient in using JIRA and GitHub for project management and version control.

Experience with Automation frameworks (eg. BrowserStack, Appium) is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience
