Description:
The successful applicants will be performing system-wide improvements on key Developer Tooling such as CI (continuous integration), CD (continuous deployment) pipelines, source control, and other systems.. The primary responsibility will be to work in concert with the permanent Engineering Enablement teams on long-term DevEx (Developer Experience) improvement projects. This will be within Meraki s systems, networks, and applications.
Key responsibilities:
1. Understanding Meraki s current key code build and release processes so as to work on improving it.
2. Ensure that work is broken down appropriately, and tickets are completed promptly.
3. Identify gaps and suggest improvements to improve Meraki DevEx.
4. Provide weekly updates to the management about progress of DevEx improvement efforts and call out risks.
You are an ideal candidate if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
5+ years experience of working on linux based infrastructure
5+ years of experience developing with object oriented programming languages like python and ruby
Experience with relevant DevEx concepts (such as DORA, SPACE, and Accelerate) metrics.
Experience with AWS and Google cloud environments.
Experience or willingness to work in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong spoken and written English
The successful applicant may also be performing work in FedRAMP moderate environments, and therefore,being a U.S. Person (i.e. U.S. citizen, U.S. national, US Permanent Resident) is required. This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil
