Sustaining Reliability Engineering Technician
THIS ROLE IS 100% ONSITE AT LOCATION ON REQ
SCHEDULE: - M-F with some potential work on Saturdays where needed
(6AM-8PM)- Minimum 10 hour days (1 hour non billable lunch in this timeframe listed) with ability to work 11 where there's a business need and if worker is able and willing to
Hard set end date of 10/31 to start- with potential to be extended or to convert to FTE- so long as there's business approvals and the worker does a good job
CANDIDATE MUST PASS MVR
Most Important Skills/Reponsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with test engineers to install, configure, and maintain test properties across a variety of complex powertrain test equipment
- Proactively complete highest priority tasks by scheduled due dates while tests are ongoing
- Develop a clean, organized, and efficient working environment
Role Summary:
As a Sustaining Reliability Engineering Technician working at *** s Normal Illinois test facility, you ll work with the Sustaining Reliability Team to build, maintain, and operate laboratories for testing electrified powertrain systems, electric vehicle systems and component reliability.
Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with test engineers to install, configure, and maintain test properties across a variety of complex powertrain test equipment
-
Execute tests effectively that results in minimal test equipment downtime
-
Troubleshoot test failures and report findings to test engineers
-
Proactively complete highest priority tasks by scheduled due dates while tests are ongoing
-
Disassemble/reassemble production and prototype hardware
-
Provide guidance to engineers
-
Create electronic standard operating procedures (SOPs)
-
Train other team members to perform procedures in standardized format
-
Perform routine maintenance on test equipment
-
Develop a clean, organized, and efficient working environment
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment
-
Attend daily stand-up and team meetings on-time
-
Document daily work electronically
