Job Description
What You Will Do:
- Build prototypes of use cases that demonstrate how AI can be applied to perform or enhance a task.
- Identify possible exercises to demonstrate how AI can be applied using free, no-code, low-code, or code-based solutions.
- Collaborate with other curriculum engineers and the product manager to propose and identify use cases. You will then independently implement the use case to determine its feasibility and, if viable, document the process from start to finish.
- Document your experience and learnings to form the basis of educational course content.
Deliverables:
- Take notes and document the process, lessons learned, and key insights with screenshots and written explanations.
- Record the journey from a nai ve approach to a usable, reliable process.
- Share insights from this process, or from additional research, to help propose learning objectives for the prototype.
Your Background:
- Experience with building prototypes, such as software applications for personal use or work.
- Demonstrated interest in machine learning, through completing online courses, formal education, or work experience.
- Interest in education or teaching, as demonstrated by taking and completing online courses, creating teaching material, or teaching experience.
Tools You Will Use:
- You will likely work with chatbots and code in Python, JavaScript, and VBA, often with chatbot assistance.
- You will identify and use open-source and free tools, including both code-based and no-code solutions.
- Common tools may include:
- App Script (JavaScript) for Google Docs and Google Sheets.
- Python in Google Colab and Microsoft Visual Studio Code.
- Hugging Face Transformers Library, Gradio, and Streamlit for building simple apps in Python.
Nice to Have
- Formal education in machine learning.
- Experience creating teaching material (text, code exercises, or slides and scripts for video content).
- Experience with building full-stack applications.
- Experience setting up and hosting models (such as LLMs) on a local server or in the cloud, enabling client-side applications to interact with the model via API calls.
- Experience working with vector databases.
- Experience with model training and fine-tuning.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Communication will primarily be through Microsoft Word, emails, and Webex messaging.
- Occasional live meetings will be held to brainstorm and review work in progress.
- Strong English reading and writing skills are required.
- Basic English speaking skills are required.
