Location: San Jose, Open to Austin as well (3 days hybrid)
Act as the analytics POC for looking at Payment performance. Working with the platform teams, and define the working of the team. Working with the key Product Managers & Product Leads. Track and report metrics. Weekly & monthly conduct meetings with the Product holders. Coming up with different mitigations and create dashboards. Understanding of payment metrics and performance. Focused on the US time zones. Some calls would be scheduled with China team. A/B testing is not needed but someone having experience would be preferred.
Must have data trends performance metrics. Able to pull data from multiple platforms.
Highly preferred- Tableau-visualization tool.
Must have the ability to run SQL. Pulling and joining the tables and work on the reviewing the data.
Highly recommended: Payments knowledge, payments industry experience Stripe, Banking,
Education/Yrs of exp: Degree required. 3-4 yrs in payments or financial services.
Interview: 1st round with Products lead and Analytics lead. 45 mins each round. No coding required but examples on SQL.
Reason for the hire: Expanding the team. Investing on a number of areas on efficient payment platforms.
Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:
Seasoned payments data analyst that able to support payment processing platform initiatives focussed on multi-payment processor integration, approval rate and cost optimization, platform scaling, and new product rollout. Use data-driven insights and partner with cross functional stakeholders, to identify gaps and opportunities in Client's s payment processing volumes. Support/lead data analysis via building dashboards tools and queries to generate insights and highlight important trends for the payments platform.
Analyze data and understanding industry trends and processing partner capabilities/gaps. Support experimentation and A/B testing, and build detailed reporting to support payment platform optimization.
The role will lead the management and execution of several strategic payments platform monitoring and data analysis initiatives to help prioritize focus for the product teams and identify any issues with product performance.
Establish internal controls, alerting mechanisms and procedures for accurate reporting for the payments processing volume.
Leverage experience in payments/financial services industry to design and implement best-in-class practices for data reporting and management
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in defining and maintaining consistent Column/Field definitions across multiple dashboards and reports.
Develops programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. Evaluates data quality, applications, and functions. Produces output and maintains operation. Researches new data sources and analytical tools.
Communicates regularly and effectively with team members and management, and communicates results effectively to management and/or customers.
Delivers data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, to management and/or customer specifications and timelines. Points out system or process problems when noticed and engages the team in problem solving. Facilitates satisfactory communication and resolution of problems.
