EBAYJP00021583 - UI/UX Designer I
Day to day- representing UX in a smaller team for single or multiple projects. Will be working closely with engineers and PMs. High level of autonomy needed. Will be syncing with PM and Douglas on a weekly basis. Not only leading the team but also leading the overall course of UX. High degree of qualifications Will be working on PoS project.
Expert level of Figma needed. Should be able to use design systems and design libraries. FigJam is good to have. Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Jira is not something they use but all the designers is should be a good to have.
Hard skills : HTML & CSS. Designs tested through A/B Testing
Wouldn t be reading or writing codes.
Nice to have familiarity in designing workshops. Communication and collaboration skills.
Education/Yrs of experience : Bachelor's degree or equivalent education. Minimum of 2-4 yrs of experience.
Industry : Working for the Sellers side, working for eCommerce Marketplaces. SaaS or B2B software tools. Inventory or Order management is good to have.
Preferred to have experience with PoS tools.
Portfolio: format doesn t matter. Website is preferred. PDF is less desirable. Prototype might not be involved in the portfolio.
Content of the portfolio: would look forward to quality of execution but also the process to reach there. How did they research the problem, wireframes or execution? Visual artifacts or any kind of messier pics are fine to have.
Team : 100% remote role. Important to attend the meetings, available and communicative. There are a handful of weekly meetings. Project level- there would be daily meetings. Should be available during those business hours is extremely important.
Interview : 1 st round with Douglas and his manager for 1 hour-portoflio review, 1 or 2 case studies for 30 minutes and 30 minutes on Q&A. 2 nd round with 2 other team members for an hour for situational type of questions.

We are looking for a highly collaborative and motivated UX Designer I to join our Seller Experience Team, a cross-functional group working on one of TCGplayer s top strategic priorities: supporting the success and growth of hobby sellers around the world. Together, you ll look critically at how our product experiences delight our customers while also fitting our business goals. You ll have the opportunity to show your diverse UX background throughout the entire product design process. You will perform agile UX design and usability testing, lead workshops to help teams get to successful solutions, see products through to delivery, and understand how they create more value for our customers.

TCGplayer s User Experience Research, Strategy & Design Team is a dynamic team of mixed method UX Research and Data Strategists, multi-disciplined UX Designers, and Copywriters. Essential Functions

As a UX Designer I on the Seller Experience team, you will:

- Rapidly prototype, build and ideate on seller tool and product designs informed by user needs, data, business objectives and technical capabilities; resulting in scalable experiences that can be adopted by multiple groups and span across multiple channels of the business.

- Serve as subject matter expert on small business hobby and collectible sellers practices, experience needs, and UX solutions for their long-term success.

- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with engineering, product and business partners to find solutions that meet the needs of both the business and customers.

- Create solutions with the appropriate level of detail and fidelity for every UX phase of the product development life cycle, actively scaling design assets from simple sketches, design concepts, high-fidelity wireframes, clickable prototypes and final annotated design deliverables.

- Design for accessibility standards and help to maintain standardized design language systems.

Work closely with UX Researchers/Strategists on testing protocol, collection and synthesis of customer insights to ensure UX solutions are aligned to customer expectations.

- Help create new design processes to improve the quality of products delivered while increasing the speed of delivery.

Competency (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

- 3+ years of UX Design experience, including subject matter expertise in designing solutions for small businesses, both within the United States and internationally.

- Have designed tools and workflows for SaaS products, including account registration and management, in eCommerce and online marketplace contexts.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Mastery of working within an agile environment and a multidisciplinary team, including: your fellow designers, product managers, software engineers, front end engineers and stakeholders.

- Mastery of standard interactive design tools like Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.

- Experience in creating end-to-end design solutions.

- Understanding of HTML, CSS and responsive design principles

- Experience using user research and usability testing to inform and validate design solutions

- Experience leveraging A/B results and analyzing user feedback and other data to enhance the user experience.

- Experience developing seamless designs are accessible to a variety of users from many devices and platforms.

Required Qualifications

- A Bachelor s Degree in a relevant field of study, or a combination of education and experience.

- Demonstrated success as a UX Designer or similar role working with B2B tools for sellers in the eCommerce space.

- Able to successfully execute all UX activities and deliverables of a design project from start to finish.

- A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating your process for creating user-centered and business impactful software product design solutions.

- A collaboration and team-focused work approach.

Preferred Qualifications

- A deep love of the hobby, gaming, or collectibles space.

- Degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.

- Experience in eCommerce software industry.

Physical Demands

The role involves the following physical demands on a regular basis:

Mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

Sitting or standing for an extended period of time, up to eight hours per day.

Ability to use vision to read computer screen and read printed materials.
