Purchasing Administrator
LOCATION: Near any office location - Plymouth, MI / Normal, IL / Palo Alto, CA & open to Remote
The Purchasing Manager, Indirect Procurement will perform purchasing activities and supplier management functions to support the continued growth and roll-out of *** commercial spaces, workplace, and charging infrastructure across North America. This role will support the strategic sourcing of construction and design services, as well as material suppliers.
This is what you'll do:
- Assist in the contract process for securing design consultants, general contractors, and material suppliers, i.e. Work Orders, Service Orders, and Statements of Work
- Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, and analyze market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments to guide planning efforts
- Preparing RFPs and perform analysis of bids based on cost and qualifications from supplier submissions
- Interact with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to answer requests
- Strategically resolve project issues by coordinating solutions at the team level when possible
- Facilitate supplier NDA s and supplier meetings
- Participate in and drive continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with departments to align planning efforts and support business initiatives
- Provide analytical support to management, helping them make informed, data-backed decisions
This is what you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience
- Previous purchasing and buying experience
- Interest to grow knowledge in the theory, principles, and best practices of real estate development, design and construction
- Strong relationship management skills to maintain professional communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to details and deadlines
- Problem-solving attitude
- Action-oriented and solution-driven
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Google Suite a plus
- Experience with Coupa a plus
- Experience with Building Connected a plus
