- 2+ years of SEO-specific experience required

- Knowledge of search engine algorithms and their effects on SERPs
- Experience developing and executing creative campaigns that encourage natural in-bound linking
- Demonstrated understanding of web analytics such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics and KPI's
- Familiarity with tools like Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, and Ahrefs
- High attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and efficient problem solver
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
- Required to stay abreast of current SEO strategies, tactics, algorithm shifts, and trends
- Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
- Utilization of HTML, CSS, and knowledge of JavaScript
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- SEO training experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience
- Collaborate with SEO counterparts and leaders to create strategies, execute tactics, and launch campaigns specific to generate in-bound links to Academy.com
- Prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Preform keyword/topic research using tools like SEMRush to optimize content (articles, products pages, and category pages)
- Utilize reporting and analysis tools to generate reports that track and communicate the business impact of SEO initiatives
- Use Screaming Frog and other tools to conduct site-wide and page level audits to identify issues and ensure the site is properly configured to maximize search engine visibility
- Identify and execute continual improvements on site structure, URL structure, page constructions, content, and keyword lists
- Present SEO recommendations for site redesigns, product enhancements, and new site features
- Optimize websites for search engines, real-time search, mobile search, video search, and image search
- Partner with external individuals and companies to drive in-bound links to Academy.com
- Define and assist in development of content for syndication to third party websites and info-graphics to publish on internal and external websites
- Perform competitive analysis and present findings in compelling ways
- Perform comparative analysis, track, and report results
- Partners with other members of the eCommerce team, external departments, and vendors to execute projects effectively and efficiently
- Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
